Mission: To what extent were local believers when Paul left?

Paul called on young Christians in the church he had founded at Corinth " ... carnal, as babes in Christ ... " (1 Corinthians 3:1-2). He kept pointing out all the things they were doing spiritually infantile. Not surprisingly, The new believers were immature. What is special about this is that Paul is writing instead of being there to tell them in person.

Paul left the new believers to stand alone when he knew they were ready - not when he or they felt they were ready. Above all, these believers in Corinth were part of a highly promiscuous and decadent culture. They had to overcome more obstacles than most believers. Paul went and left anyway when Christians were still babies! He called them children, but still the left.

Paul acknowledges that the Corinthians are saved and sanctified, they say they are older, encourage them by saying they have every gift needed to be a fully functioning church, and then calls them children.

The Corinthians were not doing very good things. They were jealous of each other and were divided into factions. Paul heard that immoral. They were fighting not just with each other in the church, but even they were taking to court.

Amid all their problems and immaturity, why Paul went and left?

I think there were two reasons. First , although they were believers immature there were many other places where there were no believers simply because nobody was there to talk about the offering of Christ. Paul realized that there was a greater need in those new places.

Second, Paul left early because realized that was not his responsibility to guide them to maturity. He said he and Apollos planted and watered, but God was responsible for getting people to grow spiritually (1 Corinthians 3:6).

Paul would not left were saved as soon . stayed with them until they understood the basic principles of the teachings of Christ. And when they left they wrote letters to encourage them or correct them in whatever they needed. Also sent to disciple believers.

Paul, one of the earliest and most productive mission of the Christian church, the man whose teachings are a big part of our New Testament, did not stay long and did not feel that the new believers had to be so mature and as he was able to make them work without it.

Whether we feel comfortable with this or not, the method worked!

How to lose a friend. Where

To make and keep friends, avoid the following crushers of friends.

• Jealousy. Why envy the accomplishments of a friend? Instead, festéjalos!
• Gossip. It is the principle of the seesaw. You try to get up saying bad things about others. Sooner or later you will be you who ends up sprawled on the floor.
• Disloyalty. You say you're his friend, but leave it aside when you see someone more interesting. True friendship is faithful at all times.
• Competition. Friendship is not a race competition. You are not opponents. Friends encourage each other.
• Negativism. If you're always complaining, will soon have to complain that you have no friends.
• Comparisons. If you compare yourself with your friends and try to pretend to be better than you, you're looking for unnecessary trouble.
• Selfishness. Take the time to take care of the interests of your friends, not just yours. If everything you do you do thinking only of yourself, scaring others.

Missions: The method of Paul vs. The method of Misiones

When we think of the early church and missions, Paul is obviously the mission to consider. There are three basic characteristics that distinguish the method typically used today, and his method. Our method includes the following:

missionaries tend to go from one place to another and stay for a long time, meeting or important roles overseeing: evangelism, administration and funding. We work very hard to can add as many converts as the kingdom of God.

missionaries tend to stay local believers to meet the same qualifications missionaries themselves and have proved to be capable of handling things like missionaries do.

tend to give local people very little authority and responsibility . We also tend to remove what we have given at the first sign of failure .

How Paul did do differently? How long did? What local believers were point when the left? What kind of authority and responsibility were given to local believers? In answering these important questions in the following posts see more clearly what had Paul is so incredibly efficient and successful.

today: do not underestimate the capacity of local workers

Those who come from developed countries often make the assumption that we are superior to those with less formal education. Also make the mistake of thinking that those who are poor are lower. Sometimes we make the further mistake of thinking that our way of doing things is best, that our lifestyles are the best and that our language is best. All these assumptions are not only wrong, but work against what God wants us to.

Many local believers are intimidated to fall back on what God has called them to do . They are overwhelmed by the superior technology, formal education and wealth of outsiders. often conclude they do not have what it takes. But it does! is not able to read markings on paper, college degrees hanging on a wall or knowledge of world affairs. Instead from the Holy Spirit, knowledge of the Word of God and the experience and commitment to Him

our arrogance often gets in our efforts to share God's remedy for sin terminal. Jesus said, " blessed the poor in spirit, " does not have the most titles. Similarly, "Blessed are the meek , " not to believe everything. Those who are filled with biblical knowledge and high technology are not automatically blessed, but " those who hunger and thirst for justice. "The just will be satisfied - not giving the largest donation. The " kingdom of heaven belongs to those who have been persecuted for righteousness' sake " (Matthew 5).

Paul wrote a warning to believers in Rome that is relevant to the believers who come from the developed world of high technology. He said, " say to each of you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think wisely, according to the measure of faith God has distributed to each. For as in one body with many members, but not all members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ and individually members one of another "(Romans 12:3-5).

God has commissioned each of His followers, through the Holy Spirit all have what it takes. But we can only work if we work together as a body - putting what we have to offer in a pot under the united leadership of Jesus Christ.

Romans 12:3

A pastor, a boy scout and a scholar in computer were the only passengers of a small plane he faced difficulties in the midst of their flight. The pilot left the cockpit and told them the computer was failing and that they were rushing to the ground. Then he added: "I inform you that we have only three parachutes available. Since I have a wife and three children, I'll use one. " Taking the first, jumped into space. Computer
scholar said: "I am the smartest man in the world and all I need." So I took another and it crashed.
The pastor and the young man stared. Next, the first said with a rueful smile: "You are still very young and I have already lived a full life. Take the other and I will stay on the plane. "
The young man replied, "Do not worry Mr. Shepherd, the world's smartest man jumped with my backpack instead to use the parachute. " He was superb

Missions: The danger of economic dependence on foreign

Many national pastors are in foreign aid the solution to their economic problems, and an opportunity to "expand the work ". If you do not receive aid, will be upset. If the received and is removed, also bother! Moreover, this" help "creates dependency.

dependence not only hurt people that becomes dependent but puts a burden on the people they depend. dependence weakens both the receiver and the sender. Another feature is that malicious dependency develops much easier and faster of what can be cured. In this aspect of the missions, an ounce of prevention is worth a biblical one ton of cure painful!

The goal should be the same as that of the New Testament: establish churches to sustain, govern and propagate themselves.

Unit is to get something for nothing and grow dependent on it . Dependence requires that some people are "givers " so that others are " receptors." The dependence gives a false sense of well being. It becomes an insidious state of mind that can weaken generation after generation once they become established. In new emerging churches can be a disease that weakens and even a fatal disease.

The purpose of the missions is to plant the Church of Christ, with local flavor, including groups of local people . The purpose is not to transplant our flavor of the church of Christ so that local people are accustomed. True local churches spread, and spread govern themselves. The local church is not really to be able to function on its behalf to carry out Christ's commission, with no outside contribution.

The reason for churches that are capable of being independent is that each church has to carry out a mission. If the church is dependent on foreigners who have to leave the church can no longer carry out its mission.

Another reason why all churches should be able to function independently because it is the most efficient way to carry out the Great Commission that Christ delegated to His church. And this is the way Christ taught us to build His church.

Releasing a missionary to move also frees the missionaries to do what God has entrusted to do. What's more, the sooner a local church to function on their own are more likely to be send his missionaries to reach those groups of people.

The unit has two features very dangerous. First, can be spread with good intentions and with malice . It's just as deadly as if given a potion by mistake. Second, is much harder to stop than start; the best remedy for the unit is the prevention .

The
the church to learn to govern itself is harder and learn how to sustain itself is often the most difficult of all . Disservice to missionaries when we measure their effectiveness mainly by the number of people in church planting.

is much easier to give something to someone to teach them to do so, and is easier to give people fish instead of teaching him to fish. If you give a man a fish, you have fed him for a day and probably created the principles of dependency. If you feed him for several days and then you stop, he why bother . But if you teach him to fish, you have fed him for a lifetime and gave him the ability to feed others.

1 Peter 5.6, 7
Is not it interesting that the claim that Satan is prowling around like a roaring lion, is in a passage about the anxious thoughts? The concern may feel like an attack: we are torn internally by the fears, frustration and discouragement. Anxiety is a feeling excruciating, and the devil is handled very well.

not have to live with anxiety, because the Lord closes the mouths of lions that threaten their followers (Dn 6.22). Peter explained how to get rid of anxiety. First, humbling ourselves before God. What causes anxiety is a feeling of powerlessness in a given situation, so the best answer is to surrender to God, submit to the Lord with the confidence that he has the power to control your life. We must remember that God always provides the circumstances for the sake of you and his glory (Rom 8.28).

Remember that prayer is a declaration of dependence. When we humble ourselves, are on our knees before God Almighty. Nothing is difficult for power, which leads to the second step: express the Lord and our problems then trust that he will deal with them. he assumes the responsibility to meet all our needs (Matt. 6.31, 32). To you to give priority to obeying God and living in a fair manner (v. 33).

And third, resist Satan standing firm in faith . That is, those concerns will not boot from the hands of God to be overwhelmed by them again. When the devil's methods make you tremble with anxiety, reject his lies and claims that the Lord is enough to handle the situation.

explosive growth equals

Most people are not aware that in certain places around the world, the local church is experiencing phenomenal growth. It is what many call an "explosive " stage of growth. But the question immediately arises: " Your phone's internal structures and systems are able to support all that growth? . "

No matter what kind of church I serve or the continent on which you serve, the temptation for all church leaders who have the blessing of the increase of God is completely revel in the influx of new people and forget to make plans to see how they can assimilate all those people in his ministry.

add hundreds of people in a short time and suddenly realize not have enough room to park cars, child workers are missing, and that putting folding chairs in the aisles are violating several regulations fire prevention.

When we focus so much and only plans to meet new people in our church that we prepare the infrastructure for the event that all this plan to fruition, surely made many mistakes.

advice? Have a bold plan for explosive growth! Expect God to answer your fervent prayers and do your part bringing people to your church. Just be sure to address the needs that will bring all of that growth. And at the same time, apply unto know how you will assimilate all these new people for one day every one of them reaches surrender to Christ and to integrate fully into your church.

What Are The Signs Of Chlamydia In The Mouth

dramatic drop of the mother's influence

mother is the woman exerts the greatest influence in the world . She has been given by God the blessed privilege of shaping the hearts of their children, educate their character, guide your life, making it what she wants it.

Lamartine's mother was a woman of deep religious spirit of tenderness, which continuously occupied and worried about the future of their children and the great French poet was, by the influence of his mother, a religious man, of great tenderness, a man eminent both by his character as for his brilliant intelligence.

Lord Byron's mother was a frivolous woman, low religious spirit, which made fun of everything, the limp of his own son, and the English poet was, by the influence of his mother, incredulous and mocking a man of brilliant intellect, but of a sharp and hard-hearted.

Oh, what mothers can do for their children! How can make men noble, worthy and great, or low and worthless men!
